It is with a heavy heart that Dragon Boat Canada announces the cancellation of the 2020 Canadian Club Crew Championships. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, DBC has decided to cancel the 2020 Canadian Club Crew Championships, which was scheduled to take place August 28-30, 2020 at the Welland International Flatwater Centre.
We had an amazing event planned for this year, with 2 additional distances, and were looking forward to welcoming international entries along with athletes from across the country.
So, now with all of you, we set our sights on 2021. Between the scheduled Pan American Club Crew Championships in Panama, and the World Championships next fall it is going to be a year worth waiting for. DBC also has a big announcement up it’s sleeve about the location of the 2021 Canadian Dragon Boat Championships…we can’t wait to make the announcement!
Until then, take care of you and each other as we navigate these challenging times. If you have not already done so, please do make yourself familiar with the Return To Dragon Boat Guidelines so you can begin planning your return to the sport we all love in a safe and responsible way.
